Hi! My name is Janai Berrocal, and I am a dual-enrolled student at Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. I am currently pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and Magazine, News and Digital Journalism.
I am a Leadership scholar, a member of the Renée Crown Honors Program, and an Invest In SUccess Scholar. Outside of class, I am also a member of the Syracuse University D1 Cheerleading Team, cheering at all SU football and basketball games, competing at UCA College Nationals in January, and volunteering in the Syracuse community.
My experience as a journalist has taught me how to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments, while also sharpening my writing skills to get my ideas across clearly and effectively.
